1:1 Singing Lessons

No two students are the same, so no two singing lessons should be either! 1:1 singing lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student, to suit their learning style and personal goals.

Who is this for?

Anyone! I have worked with students of all ages, however, for online lessons an element of concentration is required, so I would recommend this for students aged 6 - adult.

What happens in a 1:1 singing lesson?

Firstly, we have an introductory lesson to give us a chance to get to know each other and discuss what you're hoping to get out of your lessons.

During your introductory lesson we will usually:

- Have a chat about your previous experience (none required, it's just good to know if you have any!)

- Discuss your goals for singing.

- Do some vocal warm up exercises

- I will listen to you sing a song and give some feedback.

Each lesson following your introductory lesson is different depending on what it is you're hoping to achieve.

All lessons are currently taught via zoom.

Performing Arts Classes

I understand that not everyone wants to have 1:1 lessons, so I'm really excited to be able to offer Performing Arts classes for those who would prefer to learn in a group setting.

Who is this for?

I currently have 3 group sessions available:

Tuesdays 5:45pm - 6:45pm, for anyone aged 6 - 16 who would like online performing arts tuition.

Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm, for NEWCASTLE based students who would like online tuition with a view to moving to real life classes when this is possible

Stomp and Roar, a parent and child class for ages 5 and under looking at nursery rhymes, simple songs and fairytales

What happens in a Performing Arts Online class?

We will start with some warm up exercises to get everyone ready for the class.

Following this we will look at a variety of pieces including musical theatre vocal pieces, bits of acting and dance, and pop pieces with harmonies. In Stomp and Roar classes we will look at nursery rhymes, simple songs and fairytale stories.

At the end of each session there will be time for students to ask questions, share anything they would like to tell the group, and "perform" back to everyone if they would like to.

Places in these classes are limited so don't miss out!

Baby-lele

Baby-lele is a BRAND NEW online class for 2021. This class is for new parents to learn simple chords and nursery rhymes to play and sing to their babies.

Who is this for?

Anyone with a baby aged up to about 9 months. Babies are, of course, welcome at the sessions and there is no extra charge for both parents from the same family to attend.

What happens in a Baby-lele session?

We will start with some warm up exercises to get everyone ready for the class and a general check in to see how everyone is doing.

Following this we will look at basic chords and strumming patterns and learn simple songs and nursery rhymes for you to sing to your baby

Classes take place on Wednesday mornings from 10am

Places are limited so get in touch to book yours today!

Find Your Roar

Find Your Roar is an 8 week intensive coaching experience where we will use singing and music to help you build confidence, find direction and Find Your Roar!

Who is this for?

Anyone aged 18+ who feels that the power of music could help boost their self esteem and give them direction.

What happens in the Find Your Roar Program?

You will be invited to a private Facebook group which will serve as a safe space to discuss what we're working on and share and struggles you're facing.

There will be a video call each week where we will look at aspects of voice and how these can help you overcome your mental barriers and really Find Your Roar!

Places for this course are very limited so that every participant gets as much value as possible, so to secure your place, get in touch today!

Music Theory Lessons

Do you want to improve your understanding of how music works? Or add to your singing lessons with a bit of the technical side of things?

Who is this for?

I recommend starting no younger than 8 with theory - but you can never be too old to get started!

What happens in a theory lesson?

Firstly, we'll have a chat about what you already know (if that's nothing, that's absolutely fine!) so I know where to start.

Then, we'll work at a pace that suits you through grade work, as even if you're not wanting to take exams, this is a really good framework to work to.

Your first lesson is just £10, so get booked in and start learning a new skill today!

Testimonials

"Thank you for the confidence you are giving Katie. She is standing in the sitting room facing the window as if she's onstage and singing her heart out. This time least year she point blank refused to sing. She still won't let me record her though!

— Louise, Katie's Mum

"Thank you for everything you have done for Naomi. Since she started singing lessons with you she has built up her confidence so much and I look forward to what is to come in the future for her with your help"

— Mel, Naomi's Mum

"I just want to thank you. Hayden was singing in the car after dancing and she's coming on a treat! She only usually sings like that alone in her room, you have really given her confidence"

— Charlene, Hayden's Mum
